Imperial Model building service video courses.
Hello I am TK 2392 of the 501st legion. After over 15 years of study for costumes and props We have begun our journey in making a series of informational videos to cover all aspects of building armor, Helmets and blasters for the general public to purchase as individual sections, partial sections, and the entire course. We are offering education to help you make informed choices when it relates to costuming and building models.
Course outline:
1. Overview of entire course informational video.
2. Tools needed and processes for using them.
Skillset training in detail on the many ways to approach a build.
3. Vendors for where to get model parts, and reviews of each vendor. We cover international makers, Con US vendors and even canadian vendors for model parts for the helmet and armor parts. In many cases we have purchased parts from models of these vendors and many of them are 501st vetted and approved. We even promote a vendor in the USA who makes some of the best blasters around.
4. How to assemble a helmet prop. Step by step photos and video on how to take a series of plastic parts and make a helmet.
The different vendors of helmets and my suggestions as to how to assemble them.
5. How to assemble armor props. How to trim, glue and assemble armor parts, using 2 different interior methods.
from snap plates, to original bracket style systems. We cover many ways to assemble the trimming, the interior, and we can suggest vendors to help you find the model parts you need.
6. How to paint the details on armor and helmets. Using masking, or freehand painting for the details.
7. Where to find boots, belts and assembly parts.
8. How to make a blaster in full aluminum parts and paint methods. Full assembly videos provided, with complete instructions
on how to make them. A fully complete overview with vendor information on where to get kits, or finished models.
9. How to join the costuming club to participate in charity events, How to submit an application to be a cast member for Disney events and participate in Lucasfilm events as an authorized member.
10. How to make a pilot costume- both reserve pilot, and armored pilot.
Each of these courses can be purchased in bundles of sections, half of the course, or the entire course.
As we produce more segments of these courses we will do a short 5 minute overview of each segment to get your feet wet instead of simply diving in.
